Celebrate the beauty of Wisconsin’s spring through botanical illustration. In this class, you’ll explore foundational plant patterns, drawing techniques, and basic value and color theory. Using watercolor and watercolor pencil, you’ll create a finished botanical illustration from live plant samples. Along the way, you’ll build your botanical vocabulary, learn about the ecology of your plant, and label your illustration using botanical terminology- deepening both your observation skills and your connection to the natural world. 
Class will take place at the Madison College Truax Protective Services Building. All materials provided!
