Storm drain mural initiative
dane county, wisconsin
A project of the Madison Area Municipal Stormwater Partnership (MAMSWaP) and Dane County Land and Water Resources Department, outreach specialists visit schools and communities to remind us that that runoff entering storm drains flows untreated to local waterways. Based on youth drawings, my designs are painted with community members of all ages.

Junior Naturalist Program
Lussier Family Heritage Center
Madison, WI
Join me during this summer as I partner again with Dane County Parks as a guest instructor for their Junior Naturalist Camp at the Lussier Family Heritage Center! In July 2025 I'll work with the Painted Turtles for the "Artistry Adventures" program. (see pg 13 in their camp brochure)
We'll play games to hone observation skills and stoke our curiosity, draw plants in detail to get comfortable with color and shape, and finally create a piece of collaborative artwork for display at the LFHC!
Art as environmental advocacy
Catalytic Project
Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD)
Madison, WI
In the spring of 2023, MMSD invited me to create an interactive exhibit that they could take on the road to events. The subject? The Unflushables!
In order to spread the word about the dangers of flushing "unflushable" items down the toilet, we worked with Middleton's Clark Street Academy to design and paint a "face-in-the hole" mobile exhibit. Students toured the wastewater treatment plant and created artwork and poems to inspire the final design. Started with students and finished in Shop 1 at the MMSD, the completed exhibit went on the road during the summer of 2023.
